Girlguiding is about every girl joining in, helping them to know they can do anything.
Sussex West includes over 4000 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers.
Completely dedicated to girls, supporting them to broaden their horizons, challenge themselves and be the best they can be.
Through fun, friendship, challenge and adventure we empower girls to find their voice, inspiring them to discover the best in themselves and to make a positive difference in their community.
We have over 500 adult volunteers carrying out a range of roles including leaders, commissioners, trainers, treasurers and advisers.
The county of Sussex is split into West Sussex and East Sussex. In guiding terms, we call these Sussex West, Sussex Central and Sussex East.
We are Sussex West, situated on the South Coast of England, in the UK.
In guiding we are divided into smaller areas, to support our volunteers, make communication easier and meet the needs of guiding locally.
Divisions
Sussex West county is divided into our divisions Adur Valley, Arun Valley, Bognor Regis, Chichester, Petworth, Worthing Cissbury and Worthing Highdown.
Districts
These divisions are locally divided into smaller areas, and these are called districts.
Units
Within a district there are several individual groups that meet on a regular basis, we call these units. These are what the girls attend and are run by our volunteers.
Sections
Units will be for a specific section of guiding. Our sections are Rainbows, Brownies, Guides or Rangers.
