Sussex West county is divided into seven divisions Adur Valley, Arun Valley, Bognor Regis, Chichester, Petworth, Worthing Cissbury and Worthing Highdown.
Our division teams work together to meet the needs of guiding within the Sussex West county.
Our divisions are:
Adur Valley
Providing guiding from Lancing to Southwick and inland villages.
Adur Valley division covers an area along the coast from Southwick in the east, across to Sompting in the west, including Lancing and Shoreham-by-Sea and inland up to the villages of Steyning, Bramber and Upper Beeding in the north.
With 57 leaders committed to delivering Girlguiding to around 400 members across:
- 8 Rainbow units
- 9 Brownie units
- 5 Guide unit
- 1 Ranger unit

Arun Valley
Providing guiding within the Arundel and Littlehampton area.
Arun Valley division is comprised of four Girlguiding districts:
- Arundel West
- East Preston and Angmering
- Littlehampton and Arundel
- Rustington
We are located on the south coast of England surrounding the River Arun. Girlguiding Arun Valley Division covers the geographical area from Aldingbourne in the west across to East Preston in the east, stretching to the castle town of Arundel in the north.
We currently have over 480 young members in 9 Rainbow units, 11 Brownie units, 9 Guide units and 2 Ranger units that are run and supported by a committed team of leaders, unit helpers, parent helpers and Young Leaders.

Bognor Regis
Providing guiding within the Bognor Regis area.
Bognor Regis division is split into three districts:
- Bognor East – Felpham and Middleton-on-Sea
- Bognor South – Central Bognor and Bersted
- Bognor West – Aldwick and Pagham
The division commissioner is Karen Railton and the assistant division commissioner is Angela Purser.

Chichester
Providing guiding within the Chichester area.
Chichester division covers:
- Chichester city
- East & West Wittering
- Selsey
- Southbourne
- Bosham
- Hunston & Donnington
The units are supported by a commissioner team; Janet Luck, Rainbows; Julie Tanner & Carol Pateman, Guides; Carole Perry, Governance & Rangers (interim Brownies) Katherine Goacher, secretary, and Maureen Norton, Treasurer.
Petworth
Providing guiding within the Petworth area.
Petworth division consists of three districts – Chanctonbury, Dounhurst & Leconfield and Rother Valley.
Exciting adventures await all sections including our Guides, Rangers and their leaders who join up with the Scout district at Petworth Park Camp annually.

Worthing Cissbury
Providing Guiding within the Broadwater, Findon, East Worthing and Worthing areas.
Worthing Cissbury division consists of 4 districts:
- Charmandean
- East Worthing
- Findon
- Heene & West
We have around 400 enthusiastic young members in over 20 units! We cover the eastern half of Worthing, from the seafront up to Findon Valley.

Worthing Highdown
Providing guiding within the West Worthing, Durrington and Goring areas.
Covering the following areas: West side of Worthing from Elm Grove to Ferring, Worthing seafront to Hayling Rise.
We have 97 dedicated leaders with 17 young leaders, all helping our 327 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & Rangers.
