Our section for members aged 7-10

Being a Brownie is an exciting and wonderful experience that helps girls develop important skills, make new friends, and have fun adventures. As a Brownie, they’ll be part of a group of girls their age who come together to learn, grow, and have amazing experiences.

Brownies meet regularly with their unit, which is a group of Brownies from their local area. They’ll have a Brownie leader who will guide and support them throughout their journey. Together, they’ll participate in a wide range of activities that will help them develop new skills, boost their confidence, and learn about the world around them.
One of the best things about being a Brownie is the opportunity to make new friends. They’ll meet other girls who share similar interests and passions. They’ll work together in teams, play games, and go on adventures. Whether it’s going on a nature walk, having a campfire, or doing crafts, they’ll have lots of fun with their fellow Brownies.

“I love being a Brownie. It’s like a big adventure where we learn, play, and help others.” Brownie
We offer a programme and earn badges by completing different challenges and activities. These badges cover a wide range of topics, including science, nature, crafts, sports, and much more. It’s a great way to try new things and learn about different subjects while having fun with their friends.
Another fantastic aspect of being a Brownie is the opportunity to go on trips and outings. They might visit local museums, take part in community projects, or even go on overnight camps. These adventures allow them to explore new places, learn about different cultures, and develop important life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.
Being a Brownie also means that they can contribute to their community. Girlguiding encourages girls to make a positive impact on the world around them. They might participate in service projects, fundraising activities, or community events. It’s a chance to give back and make a difference in the lives of others.
